Brainstorming session on how best to help our fellow citizens cope in the face of government cuts.

As government cuts funds to services and welfare, people are struggling to make ends meet on benefits, low wages and in part-time work. We are seeking to find ways of sharing information and to encourage social interaction.

The idea is to develop ways of reaching people in or approaching crisis and to encourage self-help so that citizens take an active role in society rather than being forced to depend on food banks and other acts of charity.

Everyone should have access to a good standard of living and not be pushed into unsuitable jobs or situations that will damage their health.

There’s nothing worse than feeling on your own when you are struggling, so one of the ideas that we’ve come up with so far is a weekly drop-in where people can meet to talk and share information.

What do you think???

Everybody welcome!
